Caution Tiles Overhang The Door Opening

Tiles overhang the door opening. The wall and the door frame are at the same level. When we tile the bathroom it is likely that the thickness of the new bathroom tiles including adhesive will be thicker than the current wall covering. This will probably result owith the tile standing proud of the door opening. This will not allow the door to open and close. To resolve this the door will need to be reduced in size and the frame of the door making smaller. This is a small easy job for a carpenter. It isn’t part of the bathroom project and is outside of our skill set. We can recommend a carpenter.
