Shower Tray Above Floor
We price to fit shower trays above floor level. Fitting a shower tray on the floor is not as simple as cutting into the joists and putting the waste pipe below floor level. There are legal building regulation rules that we have to abide to.

For instance : Notches should only be made in the top edge of the joist. Notches should be no deeper than 0.125 times the depth of the joist.
A typical home joist is 8inch (20cm) deep. The deepest notch we can make is 1inch (2.5cm). A shower trap sits below the floor and the shower waste pipe is 1 3/4inch, deeper than the size of the notch we can make.
